We are happy to announce that on the 15th of October we were partners at the first edition in Romania of Women in IT Summit which took place at Marriott Hotel.
The summit is part of the Global Women in IT Awards/Summit program, which is running in London, New York, San Francisco, Singapore, Dublin and Toronto.
They are the largest technology diversity awards program in the world.
Around 120 delegates attended this first edition to gain insights from the top ladies in the industry, share ideas and learn from the inspirational success stories that where presented.

Our collaboration came natural with Women in IT Summit as we are very focused on diversity at the office and offering opportunities for women in IT. We have at this point 48% women in the IT division. Â This year we also started working with Global Women IT. The NGO is supporting girls to have access to information, is organizing events and mentoring programs, all this for these young professionals start their career in the IT domain. We have 3 women volunteers from our IT department that are mentors to female students at the technical Universities here in Bucharest.
Our participation at the Summit included sponsoring the second part of the event called Conquering Opportunities in the Tech Industry and having Lucia Voinescu, ITIM Manager, speaker in the panel The Road to International Success.
During the talk, Lucia answered one of the main questions of the discussion: Greater representation but less promotion – why?
We also had 15 female colleagues from IT that gave good feedback regarding the event.
They were happy to see great success stories from young professionals, entrepreneurs with new & bold ideas and women with a lot of experience in the field of IT, all sharing best practices in developing an IT career.
