Societe Generale European Business Services IT division starts an academy dedicated to the JAVA programming language

Societe Generale European Business Services, part of the Societe Generale International Group, has launched a new initiative called JAVA Academy which helps young people learn IT in a current and specialized environment.

In a dynamic market, with many changes in IT recruitment, Societe Generale European Business Services has taken the decision to actively engage in educating IT enthusiasts so the IT division (SSC IT) has set up an academy dedicated to the JAVA programming language.

  1. What is JAVA ACADEMY?

Java Academy is an innovative concept recently proposed within SSC IT that has as main purpose the training of Java programmers.

  1. To who is the Academy available?

All those who want to learn or extend their knowledge of Java are free to join the Academy as students.

  1. How does the Academy works?

Students admitted to the Academy follow a schedule of 32 sessions of training for over 16 weeks.

  1. What is a training session?

During a two-hour session, theoretical notions will be presented and practical exercises will be carried out.

  1. When are the sessions taking place?

The sessions will take place twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays morning starting at 8am.

Where are the sessions taking place?

The sessions will take place in the West Gate Complex. Occasionally, sessions may take place at TechHub.

  1. When does it begin?

The first session was scheduled for 24th of October 2017.

  1. How many places are available in the Academy?

The first academic cycle will have 16 students.

  1. How students are admitted?

The students will have to go through a 1-to-1 discussion with one of the teachers.

  1. What should an admitted student do in order to complete training?

Do not lose your laptop or dedication throughout the cycle, have a minimum 85% presence and do your homework.

  1. What does an Academy graduate win?

In addition to the obvious fact of acquiring deep Java knowledge, graduates will receive an honorary diploma.

  1. After finishing the JAVA ACADEMY what types of jobs can a graduate have?

The graduates can apply for JAVA developers jobs like: Java Developer – IMMO+ , Java developer – RTPose Application or Java Developer – Cassiopae Application
