Societe Generale Global Solution Centre makes its mark at top business events

Taking part in business or corporate events offers many possibilities of networking and sharing of knowledge among experts from the same field. During 2022, SG GSC has had great opportunities to showcase its expertise, outstanding projects and to engage in meaningful conversations with partners and industry peers. All these during some of the most renown business events in Romania.

First part of the year

Our long-term collaboration with OUTSOURCING TODAY & THE DIPLOMAT brought us to the 8^th edition of the Romanian Business Services Forum & Awards which took place on the 26^th of May, at JW Marriott Grand Hotel. The hybrid event included live talks on different subjects and an awards ceremony.

Our CEO, Philippe Gabulon, was speaker in the “CEO debate” approaching relevant topics related to leadership, people development, acceleration of digital capabilities and the future of service industry. During the awards ceremony, we were thrilled to receive 1^st place in the “CSR Initiative of the Year” with the “Hack the Future” project, which was developed together with our partner Cartea Dalia. The project helps students from rural areas and small towns to understand the basics of programming through play. During the live sessions, the children learn to develop programs, games or interactive stories through the guidance of IT specialists.

Second part of the year

In September, we organized together with The French Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Romania (CCIFER) a business tour on our premises. This event was a great opportunity to strengthen the relationship we have with the other CCIFER members, to showcase our amazing expertise and to present the variety of activities we handle.

The theme of the tour was “Business Trends and digital evolution in the current Romanian Landscape” and we had 4 important speakers from our company: Philippe Gabulon, CEO of SG GSC, Catalina Magui, Head of HR, Liviu Rachisanu, Head of ITIM and Vincent Orcin, Head of Finance.  The speakers talked about the changes that happened in the last 2 years, the digital transformation of our company and the plans for the future.  Also, after the conference, the guests were able to test our VR modules and to have a tour of the office.

On 1st of November, ABSL Romania organized the 10th Annual Conference, at Marriott Hotel. It was an entire day full of insights and great presentations. Among the speakers, we had Vincent Orcin, Head of Finance, to talk about “The New Finance Code”. During the call for papers our colleague Florin Lazarica, L&D Manager, held a presentation regarding our Talent Program and its amazing results.

At the end of the year, THE DIPLOMAT held the 18^th edition of The Diplomat Bucharest Awards Gala where we received an important prize, the Business Services Standard of Excellence Award. This recognition comes from our notable skills and expertise which made our company a regional standard of excellence.

By attending industry events and highlighting amazing projects and innovative CSR initiatives, SG GSC had managed to further build its brand reputation and stand out in a crowded market by been a top company.
