Connecting with top talent by taking part in online & offline job fairs

 

Hybrid job fairs have become increasingly popular in the recent years, offering job seekers an alternative way of connecting and interacting with big, important companies.

We are delighted to say that in 2022 we took part in 4 different job fairs and one event related to jobs and work opportunities dedicated to students. These events gave us the opportunity to use a variety of ways to interact with the audience, from live chats sessions to virtual tours of our booth to video interview, keynote talks and physical booths. All these activities offered participants a more immersive and personalized experience, helping them get a better sense of our culture and values, but also what it would be like if they were part of Societe Generale Global Solution Centre.

  • Angajatori de TOP is the no.1 career fair in Romania which brings together each year 250+ of the biggest employers and 35 000+ candidates, in Bucharest and other cities. In Bucharest and Timisoara editions, preselected candidates attend over 60 conferences and workshops, which allow companies to connect with the right audience (bright students, engineers, IT&C enthusiasts, foreign languages). Our attendance meant participating at both sessions, the one in March and the one in October. At the first session which took place online, we had more than 1 month presence with a virtual booth on the HIPO virtual fair platform and one live webinar for IT&C professionals on the topic of Myth and Facts in Modern Java Programming with Victor Bucutea, Solution Architect & Team Lead. The October Angajatori de TOP happened at Sala Palatului and beside our booth where participants could use the AI photo booth and test our VR demos, we also had another workshop held by our colleagues Victor Bucutea on the topic Java myths and facts.

  • The French Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Romania (CCIFER) launched the month of internships and entry-level career opportunities, through a Franco-Jobs career event. Through this online fair we promoted our job opportunities for over a month, and we organized an on-site thematic workshop for students from FABIZ. Franco-Jobs by CCIFER is the only recruitment platform for advanced French and English speakers which aims to facilitate contact between top employers, the most prestigious companies on the Romanian market, but also from abroad, with multilingual talents who are looking for professional opportunities.

  • Târgul de Carieră of the University of Bucharest is an annual career event addressed to students, master students, doctoral students and graduates. The aim is to provide activities designed to facilitate the access of UB students and graduates to career-related information directly from employers’ representatives. We are happy to say that besides presenting our company and job opportunities, we also had a workshop which brought together over 50 students and during which we discussed the skills of the future and how we can adapt professionally (and not only) in an increasingly unpredictable context.

  • NextGen – Finance Recruitment Day organized by Catalyst Solutions, is the only event in Romania dedicated exclusively to finance, accounting, banking students and fresh graduates. During this dynamic event our colleague Adina Antohi, Head of Accounting and Financial Reporting, held a keynote about accounting software skills currently in highest demand. We also had a one-day virtual booth where students could interact directly with our experts to find out what are the requirement of working in this very challenging domain.

  • Still in the area of accounting, Practical Accounting Days has been creating, for over 16th years, a bridge between the students at The Bucharest University of Economic Studies and the representatives of top companies in the business environment. The main purpose is to help students gather the information they need for a future career in economics / accounting, but also to find a job in successful companies. We took part in both sessions of this event, spring and autumn, during which we had a gold partnership that included direct interactions with students, talks during the conference and 2 workshops done by our passionate about accounting colleagues.

With a wide reach, increased exposure, timesaving features, and interactive experiences, all these hybrid job fairs that we attended in 2022 offered us a unique and effective way to connect with potential colleagues and build a strong image as a great place to work.
