Together†project, a 200.000 euro financial support program aimed to sustain projects developed by non-governmental organizations in Romania.
Continuing its commitment to positively impact the society and the environment by helping vulnerable communities, SG EBS has created for the first time, a funding program with the objective of supporting initiatives created by NGO’s in the fields of professional integration and education.
Through We Care Together, SG EBS wishes to drive creativity, performance and responsibility by offering financial support for implementing actions that will shape a more inclusive future, especially in this difficult period.
The program received more than 170 projects which were reviewed by a jury composed of 8 specialists from different areas of the company. From all these amazing applications, SG EBS has selected 5 winners that where considered the most suitable from the perspective of the social responsibility strategy and impact on the beneficiaries, especially in this COVID-19 crisis. The applications that will receive financial support are from both areas, professional integration and education, most of them being adapted to the current environment constrains.
The projects are: Asociatia ETIC – Future Ready – dezvoltam competentele generatiilor viitoare, Asociatia Casa Dalia – Code Hero, Asociatia P.A.V.E.L. Romania – Fii Propriul Tau Stapan.
We are glad to see so many applications coming from all over Romania. We would like to thank each and every NGO for taking the time to apply and for the wonderful things they are doing in different communities. It wasn’t an easy task to select only 5 projects, most of the applications deserve to receive financial support from the business community. We hope that through these new collaborations we will build together, a better and sustainable future through responsible and innovative solutions that can change for the better the Romanian landscape and will help many disadvantage communities especially in these very difficult times. A great example in this direction is a global solidarity program started by Societe Generale Group which could reach 50 million euros. This program could contribute to the solidarity initiatives implemented by different governments or to support directly associations which are on the front line of the health emergency during this difficult time we are facing now, said Matthieu Pasquier, CEO of SG EBS.
The applications for the “We Care Together†program, were submitted between 27th of February and 27th of March, after this submission period the internal jury selected those projects which will receive financial support. Currently, the company together with the NGOs are working on adapting the projects for this period and establishing a detailed calendar.
